Saving Templates
You don't need to rebuild complex workflows from scratch every time. The Save as Template feature allows you to snapshot your current graph and package it into a reusable blueprint. This includes all logic, tools, and prompts.
This is essential for scaling your operations. Once you build a perfect flow, you can save it as a template and let your entire team spin up their own versions in seconds.
Templates preserve everything
When you save a template, VibeAgent captures your complete workflow structure, including node configurations, connections, and system prompts.
Creating a Template
Follow these steps to save your current graph as a reusable template.
- Open Settings: Click the Gear Icon in the top-right corner of the canvas.
- Select Option: Click the purple Save as Template button at the bottom of the panel.
- Configure: Fill in the template details in the popup modal.
Configuration Fields
When creating a template, you provide metadata to help others understand its purpose.
1. Template Name
A clear, descriptive title for your template.
Description: This name appears in the template library and helps users quickly identify the workflow's purpose.
Example:
"Customer Support Triage v2" or "Weekly Report Generator"
Best For: Making your template easy to find and understand at a glance.
2. Description
A brief summary of what the agent does.
Description: This helps users in the library decide if this template fits their needs. Include the main use case and any notable features.
Example:
"A multi-agent system that reads incoming support emails, categorizes them by urgency, and drafts responses for human review."
Best For: Providing context so team members can quickly evaluate whether to use your template.
3. Privacy Settings
Control who can see and use your template.
Configuration:
- Public: The template is visible to your entire organization. Use this for standard operating procedures you want the team to adopt.
- Private: The template is only visible to you. Use this for personal drafts or experimental flows you aren't ready to share yet.
Best For: Managing access based on whether the workflow is ready for team-wide adoption.
4. Content Summary
A live health check of what your template contains.
Description: At the bottom of the modal, VibeAgent displays exactly what is being packaged into the template.
Example:
1 Trigger, 5 Agents, 11 Tools, 21 Connections
Check this summary before saving to ensure you didn't accidentally leave any disconnected nodes or empty branches in your workflow.
